Privacy Policy

We only collect what you type into the forms on this site: your email address, and on the contact form your name, subject and message. We also record the date and time you submitted them.

When you request the StrandFlow Windows download we additionally note which release package was current at the time, whether you ticked the marketing box, and whether you went on to click the download button.

Your email address is stored so we can record interest in StrandFlow and give you access to the download. These records are not published, sold or shared, and they are not used to send you marketing unless you ticked the optional box.

We do not check whether an email address exists or belongs to you, and a recorded request is not proof that a download or installation was completed.

Ticking "Email me StrandFlow news and updates" is optional and separate from getting the download. Leaving it unticked does not affect your access to StrandFlow.

You can withdraw consent at any time by asking us to remove your records, and we will only ever send marketing to addresses that opted in.

We keep each kind of record only for as long as we need it for the reason it was collected. Retention differs by record, and it works like this:

Download requests. When you request the StrandFlow Windows download we store your email address, the release you requested, whether you ticked the marketing box, and any download click. These records are deleted automatically twelve months after they are submitted. A scheduled job runs every day and permanently removes anything older, so you do not need to ask us to clear them.

Contact enquiries. Messages you send through the contact form are kept so we can reply to you and keep a record of the conversation. They remain until you ask us to delete them.

Newsletter sign-ups. An email address given to the newsletter form is kept for as long as you want to hear from us. Ask us to remove it and we will delete it.

Marketing consent. If you opt in to StrandFlow updates we keep a note of when you gave consent, so we can show that you agreed to it. That note is deleted together with the download record it belongs to, or sooner if you ask us remove your details.

Deleting a record removes it from our database. If you ask us to delete the records we hold for your email address we remove all of them, including any the twelve-month rule has not yet reached.

You can ask us to delete the records we hold for your email address at any time, whatever their retention period, and we will remove them. Use the contact form or email strandflow@outlook.com and we will action the request.

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page.
